Copacabana, Boliva

Looking from the island of Comunidad Yumani towards Copacabana

After staying a night at Puno, Peru, we crossed the border into Bolivia and a ten minute drive in the country with the Bolivian Hop bus, we arrived in Copacabana on the shores of Lake Titicaca for the day. An hours boat trip to the island of Comunidad Yumani only gave us a few hours to walk the west side before returning. From the top we had stunning views all around and only wished we could of stayed for the night on the island. We had to get back if we wanted to catch the ten hour drive to La Paz.

A record shot of a 1st winter Laughing Gull. On the whole trip while in Peru and Bolivia I have only seen Andean Gull. I have no idea how common Laughing Gull is inland Bolivia
