Seal pup stranded

Grey Seal pup stranded on Porthcressa Beach

Mid-day and I got a call from Ren to ask me to go and tell the wildlife trust that there was a stranded seal pup on Porthcressa Beach. There was no one at the wildlife trust building, so I called on Liz and told her the news. Liz told me to stay with it, but after 10 minutes, I had to get to work and left Ritchie with it. We discovered later that another seal pup was also found on Porthcressa Beach earlier on in the morning. Like this one, it was taken away to the seal sanctuary on the mainland. Others effected by the weather were also stranded on other beaches around St Mary's.

With 925, we had a look at Content and discovered that there were now 2 YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER in the fields at the back of me garden. The strong southerly was blowing the trees all over the shop and only 3 Chiffchaff could be found. However, at Newford Duckpond it was sheltered and here we were joined by Ivan Laken. The YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER was feeding with 10+Chiffchaff, including a probable 2 SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF. This was comfirmed when one dicided to call.
