Lesser Yellowlegs on Bryher

Higgo found this Lesser Yellowlegs at Bryher Great Pool yesterday

This morning at Porth Hellick I had both the Garden and Cetti's Warbler. Returning to me wagon I heard a Golden Oriole singing in the Kittiidown pines but could I see the thing. On the airfield there were 2 Golden Plover and 4 Wheatear.

Higgo decided to have a week off work and made his usual visits to Bryher. It payed off yesterday when he went and discovered a Lesser Yellowlegs on the Bryher Great Pool. It was this morning when most of us made it over on the 10.15 boat and all had good views of the wader feeding with 2 Dunlin and a single Black-headed Gull on the shore just in front of the Hell Bay Hotel. However, it was always too far away for good photos and that was the case when Jo and I returned later in the afternoon. Inbetween this time we observed 7 Swift and good numbers of House Martin and Swallow flying NNW out to sea off Shipman Head Down. We also had 2 Wheatear on the top with up to 3 Spotted Flycatcher and a Turtle Dove at Appleglade. In the hotel garden there were single Garden and Sedge Warbler and chiffchaff.
