Juvenile Kumlien's Gull at Coverack, The Lizard
I had a great time gulling with Martin Elliot in SW Cornwall over the weekend. It started off in the late afternoon at Hayle where Martin pointed out the possible 2nd winter American Herring Gull that he found on the 1st, Apart from the outer-tail feathers the gull looked good as a smiths,

The following morning we arrived at Coverack on The lizard where there had been up to 7 Glaucous and a single Kumlien's Gull in the last few weeks We stepped out of the car and looked over the wall and directly below us at very close range was a juvenile Glaucous Gull. As the tide was dropping, 100's of gulls were starting to gather on the beach. A 2nd winter Yellow-legged Gull dropped in briefly, but it was a hour later when Martin relocated the Juvenile Kumlien's Gull. With Royston Wilkins and another birder, we observed it for a good half an hour in the rain and got soaked to the bone!

2nd winter Yellow-legged Gull Thanks for the chocolate Royston. I ended up with the buttons, great, while Martin took my favorite, Tunnocks Cameral Wafer! All I can say, it's a good job he relocated that Kumlien's.
