Buffy and Dot at Peninnis

Juvenile Dotterel and Buff-breasted Sandpiper at Peninnis

  A walk in the bright afternoon sun to have a look at the Dotterel and buff-breasted Sandpiper that have been feeding together for last few days at Peninnis between the gate and lighthouse. As exspected, both birds showed at very close range for the small crowd.

This male Kestrel had one hell of meal in the form of a rat


2 Skylark were busy feeding on craneflies

Up to 60 Meadow Pipits were also present
 
This Pied Flycatcher was feeding in the same Elms as a Yellow-browed Warbler at the campsite, Garrison, 1st October

Portishead are a band formed in 1991 in Bristol, England. The band is named after the nearby town of the same name, 13 km (8 mi) west of Bristol.Portishead consists of Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons, and Adrian Utley, while sometimes citing a fourth member, Dave McDonald.In 1997, the band performed a one-off show with strings by the New York Philharmonic orchestra[8] at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City and here is one of the songs from that gig 'Roads'
