AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER at Porth Hellick

Moulting adult AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER at Porth Hellick

Horses, dogs, dog walkers, planes, choppers, a football team, a mobile fairground and Higgo face, all unsettled the plover. The latter is enough to unsettle anything.

The Yank showed very well feeding just off the sluice, but was always on the wrong side of the sun.

This Lesser Redpoll was at Carn Friars and yesterday I observed 7 redpoll over the Garrison

Juvenile Siskin in Martins mums garden at Telegraph. Up to 11 juvenile were observed at one time in this garden in August. A very good start to a new breeder on the islands.

Alfred Matthew "Weird Al" Yankovic is an American singer-songwriter, music producer, accordionist, actor, comedian, writer, satirist, and parodist. Yankovic is known for his humorous songs. This is one of Yankovic's most controversial parodies, 1996's "Amish Paradise", based on "Gangsta's Paradise" by hip-hop artist Coolio, which, in turn, was based on "Pastime Paradise" by Stevie Wonder. Reportedly, Coolio's label gave Yankovic the impression that Coolio had granted permission to record the parody, but Coolio maintains that he never did. While Coolio claimed he was upset, legal action never materialized, and Coolio accepted royalty payments for the song. After this controversy, Yankovic has always made sure to speak directly with the artist of every song he parodied. At the XM Satellite Radio booth at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show Yankovic and Coolio made peace.

  3. Your blog is alright but it I find it really childish and seems to be aimed at retards. Is this how you want to represent the beautiful islands? Your political views should be left elsewhere - I have heard you are a big trouble causer among the Birdwatchers there and maybe you should be amending the local politics (which you ought to know more about) rather the spouting off about issues that you clearly do not have any idea about. Who provides you with the detritus? As far as I am concerned, your blog is getting a little moronic...

  4. Hi Andy, thanks for your comment about my blog. Saying that is really childish and aimed at retards, well that's your opinion. I can tell you now, it is not aimed at retards. I can put whatever I what on here, because it's my blog. If you don't like my political views or anything else, then don't look at my blog, because there's a lot more where that came from.

As for being a big trouble causer among the birdwatchers and I should amend the local politics instead of spouting off about issues that I clearly do not have any idea about. I'm sorry Andy, but you have no idea what your talking about. I'm not going to go any deeper into the subject, (because I should know better) instead of spouting off. I don't really care if my blog is getting a little moronic. I don't care if anyone reads my blog. I'm doing it for myself and if you don't like it, then stop reading it. It's not going to change. In fact your the first negative view on my blog. Maybe I might get some more if they think it's moronic. However, if I do, then your wasting your time. I really don't care what anyone thinks.

Detritus? Jackson Browne put this word to more good use in his song 'Casino Nation' than you did. Have a listen to it. Oh I'm sorry, but it's a very powerful political song. There again, maybe you shouldn't.

If you visit Scilly, then please let me know. I would like to have a drink and a chat and I'm sure a few of us will put you straight about the politics on the island.

  5. Hey Andy.
    No disrespect but.
We still have a modicum of freedom of speech in this country and so yes you can comment on Spiders Blog.
However it is, as he points out HIS BLOG and so using that freedom he is quite at liberty to say what he likes on it. Whether or not you or any others disagree with his point of view. Moreover " big trouble causer among the Birdwatchers" where did you get that detritus from.
    More power to you Kris.
