Graham Gorden on St Agnes found this first WAVED BLACK for both Cornwall and Scilly in his bedroom on the evening of 20th July!
Gentle SW yesterday got myself and Martin Goodey up to deep Point and from 17.30-19.30 we were rewarded with 40 Cory, 4 Sooty and single Balearic Shearwater and Puffin.
On the 7th there were 2 male Emperor Dragonflies together at Lower Moors.
Adult Roseate Tern sleeping with a handful of Sandwich Tern and Black-headed Gull at Porthcressa
Up to 5 Mediterranean Gull have been commuting with Porthcressa and Porthloo in the last week
The first Common sandpiper starting returning at the beginning of July with three birds on St Agnes. Today at Porth Hellick there were 8 Greenshank, 2 Redshank and a single Common Sandpiper
Been a long time since I've observed a Sooty Shearwater up close and I had six of them in between St Mary's and St Agnes
A raft of 300-400 Manx Shearwater. In the last few days there has been large numbers of Manx Shearwater off Scilly included over 1000 off Bryher with 16 Sooty Shearwater also in the raft. Of the latter species this might be one of the highest numbers observed on Scilly.

last week a few us were invited to a game of five a-side on St Agnes. For those who have not visited Scilly for the last 100 years, the guy in the center with the beard is the ex-landlord of the Bishop, Bobby Hayes! Great evening!
